Multi, Inc., LLC, in partnership with AspenGlo, LLC is excited to announce the unveiling of a federally patented Biodegradable Fire-Resistant Foam. This revolutionary foam preserves structures due to a spray that is safe for the environment, biodegradable, and can be sprayed on homes, garages, decks, and other structures in danger of wildfire and structure fires. This product can be a game-changing step in fire-fighting due to the responsible, effective, and efficient ways it helps protect structures in advance of severe threat and damage. Ken Johnson, Founder and President of Multi, Inc. patented this foam due to his dedication to eradicating wildland fires, securing a means for home fire safety, and preserving structures across his home state of Colorado, in addition to all states in the US where fires are prevalent. Mr. Johnson has declared that his home state of Colorado, with its determined perseverance towards fighting fires is "ultimately the right place" to launch an announcement for this Biodegradable Fire-Resistant Foam. By moving forward to market quickly, Multi-Inc.'s patented foam can play a life-changing role in keeping communities safe and thriving. Wildfires in Colorado remain a major threat to the state. 2022's devastating Marshall Fire in Boulder caused destruction in the form of 1,084 structures destroyed, 149 structures damaged, 1 fatality, and 6 injuries. During the 2021 Colorado wildfire season, as of July 1st, over 32,000 acres of land was burnt due to 337 wildland fires across the state. (courtesy of the National Interagency Fire Center). To date, the US has primarily been working with Red Slurry to protect structures and Class A Fire Foams to help expand water for fires nationwide. While sparingly effective, environmental damage, costs of personal loss, water usage, and structural compromise continue to negatively impact the aftermath. Most currently used fire foams only protect structures for a short period of time. This has inspired Multi-Inc. to present a solution that will change the course of fire-fighting for homeowners, firefighters, businesses, and land owners. Preserving and protecting people, animal, and structures are Multi-Inc's goals with the additional benefit of environmental friendliness and advance protection. This foam saves lives, structures, the environment and can save millions of gallons of water. Multi, Inc. spent the last seven years working with a chemist on this federal patent. In 2021, AspenGlo worked with firefighters and industry-related partners in Colorado and Idaho to do initial tests on the Biodegradable Fire-Resistant Foam. This testing proved successful at saving structures and the environment surrounding them. The foam was sprayed on a 10-foot wooden wall, and surrounding soil and concrete, creating a fully-encased egg-shell protective layer. The structure was then torched at 3,000 degrees Farenheit (1,000 degrees hotter than an average wildland fire). After power washing the spray with the preserved wood cocooned safe underneath, the wall was found in nearly pristine condition. Multi-Inc. recorded a testing report and accompanying video to verify these tests. An additional benefit of using this firm is its unique is its lasting protection time. Once sprayed on a surface, the foam adheres for a number of days as a hard shell making for a longer protection time of structures and surrounding environments. AspenGlo's CEO Kent Oliver, who led the testing, serves as a red-card wildland firefighter and most recently served in California during 2021's Caldor Fire. While on site, he noted that "fire experts have never heard of anything like this foam product before.” Mr. Oliver emphasized that “current foams used today may help in the short-term and minutes before the fire front engulfs structures, and at the same time is very toxic to water systems. "unlike Class A fire foams, one of the most significant features of Multi-Inc.'s product is its ability to protect structures for multi-days prior to the fire front arriving and allowing firefighters advanced protection without endangering personnel and lives. Multi,Inc. is working to find the most effective path towards bringing the Biodegradable Fire-Resistant Foam to market in Colorado and across the country with a state-wide and national product launch and awareness campaign. This product could serve as a turning point in the fight to overcome fires in Colorado and the western states. Allison Holloran, President of AspenGlo, attests that "the ingenuity of this patented foam will change the landscape of mitigating fires. When this product was introduced to us, and we first-hand tested its capabilities, we witnessed the preservation and protection of structural materials - withstanding an extraordinary level of heat - far higher than the average temperature of a wildland fire. We were adamant that there was no time like the present to move forward on getting Multi, Inc.’s product into the meaningful hands of those that can be the most impactful. New, revolutionary ways to combat fires in the U.S. is a priority at state and federal levels, and no other comparable fire foams have been introduced to the market thus far." Our Biodegradable Fire-Resistant Foam needs a voice in media, state and federal government, and private sector communities to expedite bringing this product to market and securing the patent with the right partner. As proud Coloradan's, Multi, Inc. and AspenGlo are fully invested in eradicating the annual crisis of fires which continue to ravage our land and homesteads. Multi, Inc. is passionate about preserving the balance of people, flaura, and fauna in Colorado and elsewhere.
